The laboratories and Workshops are the prerequisites for
providing off-job, hands-on training in
the maintenance aspects. The NPTI (ER) has built well equipped laboratories and
workshops with wide ranging facilities for imparting training to Technicians,
Operators and Engineers, in various aspects of Power Stations. Some of the
areas where expertise has been built up are:

& Shaft alignment, Pumps, Motors etc.

Electrical laboratories with facilities for
testing of electrical equipments and demonstration for maintenance
practices.

Computer Lab
A lab of 40 nos. computers with the facilities
of LAN and Internet connectivity to conduct various training programs including
use of Hindi Softwares.

A lab with the facilities for practicing of digging holes
, erection of poles, fixing different fittings on pole, stringing and
installation of overhead conductors etc.
